Ty Harper
Ty Harper is a Toronto radio producer and co-host of OTA Live! Canada’s first urban variety show.
Born in Toronto & raised till his mid- teens in Trinidad, Ty’s early exposure to a wide spectrum of musical influences helped inform his love of urban pop culture. That love led to a career path further shaped by pioneering broadcasters like Ron Nelson, Master T & Dj X, whose early contributions to Toronto’s hip-hop community inspired Ty to create a show that built on their collective legacies.
OTA Live! went to air in June of 2005 and has since enjoyed critical and commercial acclaim besting it’s prime and late night timeslots thanks to popular segments like The UBX, The Megacity Countdown, & OTA Talk.
With “Cityonmyback.com“, Ty hopes to add another important infrastructural piece to the movement and city he loves.
