I call this The Lost Song because, honestly, I don’t remember a fucking thing about it. I don’t remember writing or recording it. Nothing. I do remember it’s an Obie Trice song I loved a lot. Moss, the producer of this song, and I worked on a few songs together. All amazing. I’m pretty sure I heard this beat and had to crush it. And crush it I did. It’s rare I go in on beats just spitting. This is one of those rare moments. I think I’m going to do it more often.
A few weeks ago I received a Twitter notification from Chase March, an old friend [one of the first journalists to ever write about me], saying he played this on his radio show. I remembered the title, but didn’t remember the song. I asked him to send me an mp3. It’s pretty fucking insane that I can’t remember a single detail. But, I guess it’s bound to happen when you write 300 songs in a few years. A couple will get away from you.
Now I’m inspired to write some ‘I’m better than you’ verses. I guess I’ll go do that.

I remember Sway from back in the dayyyy when I was on the FLOW street team and he was at BMG. A few years later he was touring with his band and doing his thing. You know, one of those talented dudes who’s music would find love in all these small pockets around the globe but never had that impact at home (that I know of). Anyways, haven’t seen or talked to dude for some time but fast forward a few more years and here we go…solo push! So apparently he’s living in Germany now and coming with some dope-ass new-age R&B / Rock / Pop Canadian-German hybrid thing. Dope.

Elcee drops his latest full length with accompanying self-directed visuals.
For those wondering who the hell Elcee is, he is a Toronto living up and coming artist who uses his unique blend of double-time raps and velvet-smooth R&B vocals to create a sound that follows along from your headphones, to the whip, to the party and back to the bedroom. Elcee is often compared to such artists as Chance The Rapper, Childish Gambino, Kyle and similar artists. He is bringing to you today, his latest project LeoSoul along with a music video for “Answer” which is off of the project!
LeoSoul caters to the ambitious dreamers of the new age with subject matter surrounding relationships, personal experiences & growth. Growth is something we all desire at some point in our life, regardless of what it is we are trying to accomplish. If you have aspirations, self confidence, drive, etc. LeoSoul is for you, and inspired by you. LeoSoul includes Ghost, Sese, Phee, & T.Y. with production from Bonham Carter, fluence, LEF7Y, Feo Trey, Chan-AV, MKSB, A$$stronaut Beatz!
Answer is the second single from Elcee’s just-released new album, LeoSoul. Over a warm, wavy synth line we’re treated to an inspirational reminder of the prizes hard work can reward us with. Featuring his signature blend of liquid-smooth R&B vocals and heavy, rapid-fire lyrics, this MisterMack produced jam is perfect for your breakfast toast all summer long.
