Visuals for two cuts off IvanUnknown’s debut project out now!
This weekend, Toronto is hosting its first ever NBA All-Star Game. Fitting since, over the past few years, the Canadian city has become one of the biggest cultural hubs in the world. Toronto is producing a new generation of artists, musicians, fashion designers, restaurateurs, and more that are changing the way the city is perceived.
In the past, Toronto’s been called the “Screwface Capital”—often by Torontonians themselves. Now, the creative scene is small, tight-knit, and blossoming. So, we spent a week in the Six getting to know NEEDS&WANTS designer Sean Brown, restaurateurs Kai and Levi Bent Lee of Fring’s, photographer Visionelie, artists Jazz Cartier and Daniel Caesar, city of Toronto councillor Norm Kelly, and even got to spend some time at the Raptors’ practice to chat with Patrick Patterson.
Get to know the city and the scene in 6 On a Wave: Toronto Got Next.
Adria Kain and Lord Quest link up for the official re-fix of “Better Life”.
In celebration of a new year and new beginnings as well as the fact that I just recently turned 26, I wanted to shoot out something new for my fans. Here’s a remix of my hit single “Better Life” redone by my good homie Lord Quest!

Missed this one from late last year. Shouts to one of the Queens from the city still doin’ it.
From the new album “Late Night Light.” Soon to be released on vinyl – love that sound.
I don’t get the naked women thing at all but…. new one from Sway Clarke.
With the sound of a sonic boom J Shiltz re-emerges from self imposed isolation to deliver “All Out”. The tune sees the Sauga City representative deliver a set of refined and introspective verses over spacey and soulful production from the Juno Award winning MC and producer Relic. Managing hook duties is longtime collaborator and Monolith General Grimace Love. “All Out” marks both the first release from Shiltz in almost two years, and the second official collaboration between Shiltz and Grimace since the release of the Kev Brown produced TO anthem “Louder” almost 5 years ago. “All Out” is a call to arms, the acknowledgement of an unforgiving scene, and a declaration of necessity in a city that has infamously become from the outside looking in, the epicentre of a new sound, but from the inside looking out, the concrete confines to an unacknowledged generation of hip-hop artists.DJ Pack:
