The 2012 Spinfest and Stylus Awards presented by Pioneer DJ will begin in Toronto on Saturday, May 26th followed by a complete weekend of festivities leading up to the red carpet awards show on Monday, May 28th.  Spinfest is a conference showcasing leading industry talents, speakers and education for tomorrow’s next big artists.  Tickets for the Stylus Awards will be available via Ticketmaster in April for $40 CND+HST.  Be sure to purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment, the show has sold out every year! This is so dope that I’m posting it even though it’s taped off TV (literally, lol). Sometimes quality just doesn’t matter, feel me? The content is the most important thing. Speaking of which…take a look at a nice little feature on the legendary Beatfactory Records which aired on MuchMusic’s The New Music show (I’m guessing in the late ’90′s). #TorontoHistory.

The clip also features footage of Camille Douglas (who recently passed away) doing her thing. “Don’t Leave Me Hangin’” was dope!!! RIP.
